Who we are

About Relationships Australia

Our Vision

Positive and respectful relationships for all Australians.

Our Mission

To build stronger relationships which enhance the lives of individuals, families and communities.

About Us

Relationships Australia is a leading provider of relationship support services.  We aim to support all Australians to achieve positive and respectful relationships.

We are a community-based, not-for-profit organisation with no religious affiliations.  Our services are for all members of the community, regardless of religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, lifestyle choice, cultural background or economic circumstances.

We are committed to enhancing the lives of communities, families and individuals and supporting positive and respectful relationships.  We have a federated structure with large autonomous member organisations in every state and territory and a national office based in Canberra.

With more than 60 years experience, Relationships Australia has been helping Australians to build positive relationships through the provision of confidential relationship support services by our professionally-trained and highly-skilled staff.

Relationships Australia delivers a wide range of services, including counselling, family dispute resolution, personal development and education, parenting skills training, men and family relationships programs, specialised family violence programs, early intervention services, child-focused programs and practices, and programs which specifically engage indigenous and culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) families, groups and communities.  We frequently partner local community organisations, for instance building capacity through training.

Relationships Australia's staff provides family and community support services to over 100,000 clients from over 200 outlets in city, suburban, regional, rural and remote locations across Australia - from Port Hedland to Palm Island to Bass Strait Islands.

We receive funding from the Australian Government through the Family Relationship Services Program (FRSP) and other related programs.  This funding is supplemented by client fees, training programs, state and territory government support, sponsorships, donations and other sources.
