Employee Assistance Programs
Tailored services to assist employees who may have personal problems which interfere with job performance.
An Employee Assistance Program (EAP) can involve a wide range of services and depends on the particular needs of the employee and family. These can include counselling, mediation, relationship skills, professional training and supervision, and management consultancy in the workplace. Services are tailored to respond to the specific needs of the employee and organisation. Since personal problems often start in the home, the program is also available to the employees' immediate family.
We assist employees or their families in a confidential manner. Employees attend on a voluntary basis. By requesting or receiving assistance the employee will have neither job security nor promotional opportunities jeopardised. It is not intended to interfere in the normal disciplinary processes of an organisation or block an employee's access to the grievance procedure.
The purpose of the Employee Assistance Program is to promote personal well-being and quality of human relationships in the workplace in order to enhance people's work life. The services are designed to assist employees at all levels of an organisation to better deal with personal, family and work-related concerns.
