- other issues.
Services can be provided to individuals, families and community groups.
We have a number of resources available in English and also in other languags.
Why use PEACE?
Our community contains a rich mix of people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. Sometimes people can find it difficult to get effective help and support from community organisations because of culture and language differences.
We work to ensure culture and language differences don’t get in the way of people receiving effective support and treatment. We understand and have experience dealing with the issues that individuals and communities from various cultures face.
We offer:
- a FREE and confidential service
- individual short or long-term support from an experienced worker
- information and support for people who are concerned for a family member or friend
- the flexibility to meet at a time and location that is convenient for you
- group and community education programs.
Who is it for?
We welcome involvement or enquiry from any CALD individual or community group.
Currently, communities involved in our programs include: Persian, Greek, Polish, Vietnamese, Chinese, Laotian, Filipino, Spanish, Arabic (from different Middle Eastern countries) Indian, Macedonian, Liberian, a number of Sudanese languages, Kurdish, Russian, Chinese, Dari, Khmer, Italian and Somalian.
Hearing and language interpreters are available upon request.
