Men's Counselling

Our goal is to support men and boys of all ages to gain understanding and strength in their relationships with partners, children, family and friends.

This service is dedicated to working with men in straightforward and practical ways. We believe that men are strengthened when they stand in a healthy community of men who support them as they face transitions in their lives.

Specific services are provided for men who:

• are dealing with separation or family break-up
• are non-resident parents or are thinking about a new relationship
• have not separated, but who are experiencing relationship difficulties and who want to be a better dad, husband or partner.

The service is also available to wives, partners or family members who are concerned about their husbands, partners or fathers.

Men and Relationship Skills Workshops and Courses

Relationships Australia (NT) offers many one night seminars and courses for men in many different stages of relationships – from enhancing a relationship to dealing with fatherhood, after a separation.

Partnership Programs

Relationships Australia in the Northern Territory has established partnerships with indigenous organisations in Darwin and Alice Springs to provide training programs for indigenous male workers.

In addition, Relationships Australia is involved with the National Suicide Prevention Program and works in partnership with the Northern Territory Correctional Services providing programs for men in prison.
