Relationship Counsellor - Cairns, QLD
Relationships Australia has been providing counselling and education services for 60 years. We are currently seeking applications for the role of Relationship Counsellor for the Cairns venue. With a negotiable structure of hours applications are encouraged from both full-time and part-time applicants.
The key responsibilities of this position include:
- Working therapeutically with couples and families.
- Applying knowledge of relevant theoretical frameworks and models.
- Working holistically with couples and families and the issues they present with.
- Utilising a systems theory framework in the counselling process.
Practice as a family and relationship counsellor will be maintained through active participation in professional training and development opportunities, contribution to clinical projects, and proactive use of clinical supervision.
The successful applicant will possess relevant tertiary qualifications in the social or behavioural sciences and will be self-motivated, have excellent assessment skills, and possess highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
The successful applicant will receive a competitive salary package, circa $42,698, and generous salary packaging which significantly increases the value of take home earnings is also available.
