Family Information Officer - Cairns, QLD
Relationships Australia has been providing counselling services for 60 years. We are currently seeking applications the role of Family Information Officer for the Cairns region. With varied hours available applications are encouraged by both part-time and full-time applicants.
Family Information Officers assess the needs of our clients, provide them with quality information, and refer them to appropriate services within our organisation and to relevant external service providers.
The primary responsibilities of these positions include:
- Conducting brief assessment of client needs to make appropriate referrals, provide quality information and make client bookings;
- Utilising central computer systems to make face-to-face and telephone appointments;
- Attending to crisis calls and clients presenting in a crisis by linking/referring client to the nominated counsellor, or partner service;
- Provide clients with information regarding the services RAQ provides, as well as other services available to them in the community;
- Facilitate referrals to nominated community support services where appropriate;
- Recording client enquiries in nominated computer system.
Applicants must have experience in customer / client service and demonstrated competency using computer applications, such as word processing, databases, spreadsheets, electronic mail and internet. Previous administrative work experience in a community agency will be highly regarded.
The ideal candidate will have excellent customer services skills, highly developed interpersonal and communications skills, and the ability to work with diverse groups of people.
The successful applicants will receive a salary package, pro-rata $38,450 plus superannuation, and generous salary packaging, which significantly increases the take home value of earnings.
