Director - Indigenous Services and Programs - Eight Mile Plains, QLD
Relationships Australia have been providing counselling and education support for 60 years, we are currently seeking a Director to provide operational and cultural support in relation to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander programs and services. This full-time role will operate from our Head Office at Eight Mile Plains and will form an integral part of our operations across Queensland.
This position will be responsible for supporting employees working in Indigenous programs and services, will provide direction to the coordinators that report to this role, and provide advice to the Senior Management team in their areas of expertise. This role will also be responsible for promoting our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander services and programs to the community.
The main responsibilities of this position include:
- Promote the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander services and programs to the community.
- Inform Zone Directors, Managers, and Coordinators of program requirements and opportunities for improvement
- Develop and oversee the implementation of promotional strategies consistent with program objectives
- Provide Coordinators with direction, and support employees, ensuring their participation in all aspects of clinical supervision, ensuring employee training needs are met.
The successful applicant will possess appropriate tertiary qualifications, previous demonstrated experience and expertise working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and demonstrated strategic management skills.
