Administration Officer - Safe Haven, Toowoomba, QLD
Relationships Australia is a not-for-profit organisation that has been providing counselling and education services for 60 years. We are currently seeking applications for the part-time (17 hours per week) role of Administration Officer providing high quality administrative support and assistance at our Safe Haven service.
Located within the Toowoomba region this service provides support and assistance to indigenous women and their children who have experienced domestic and family violence.
The major responsibilities of this position include:
- General administration, including word processing, photocopying, mail distribution, diary management, filing;
- Taking internal & external telephone enquiries;
- Managing, balancing and banking all petty cash;
- Restocking resources and amenities, and maintaining reception in a presentable manner;
- Providing general administrative support as required.
Applicants must have demonstrated experience in an administrative role. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and the capacity to effectively utilise other software, such as the internet, intranet and in-house computer programs, is also essential. Previous experience working in a community agency and certificate level qualifications will be highly regarded.
The successful applicant will be awarded a salary pro-rata $35,833 plus super and in addition generous salary packaging which will significantly increase the value of take-home pay.
Applicants for this position must be able to nominate an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person who is recognised and accepted in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community as a referee to support their ability to meet the requirements of this position.
