In your time of need… Call.
Relationships Australia expresses our heartfelt concern for all those affected by the current bushfires. Our thoughts are with you during this time of extremity.
Relationships Australia offers support services to individuals or organisations involved in dealing with disasters.
These services include:
- Trauma and grief counselling (individual and group sessions at work-sites, homes or at trauma site);
- Critical incident de-briefing;
- Training for police, emergency services, crisis support workers to assist in a crisis or disaster; and
- Research and information to support crisis services to better respond to future events.
As well as responding to the immediate needs of victims and support workers in times of crisis, trauma or community disaster, Relationships Australia has an ongoing support role over time. Those affected may not seek help in the short term, but may look for support or be referred some months (or even years later) when relationship problems occur.
To find out more about the affects of Trauma and Crisis, read Trauma and Crisis Counselling (pdf), or contact us on 1300 364 277 (business hours only).
