Point of Contact
Information about the Point of Contact training resource for professional groups whose work may involve responding to children who live with family and domestic violence (FDV).
Point of Contact training resource
Point of Contact has been developed through extensive consultation with these professional groups and designed to be extremely flexible to address the diversity of their work contexts and training needs. The resource can be used to provide very short skills exercises; deliver a short face to face program; give a lecture; guide a distance learning program; or become the basis for learning modules in further or higher education. The scope of its materials will not only address the diverse work contexts of front line professional groups but also support different learning styles and delivery strategies.
The resource is available at no cost through the Australian Government Office for Women website. Click here to go directly to the Online Order Form on the website to order a copy.

About Point of Contact
In November 1997, Heads of Government endorsed Partnerships Against Domestic Violence Phase 1 (PADV1), an initiative between the Commonwealth, States and Territories, which had the aim of working collaboratively towards the common goal of preventing domestic violence across Australia.
The Point of Contact was funded under PADV2, and specifically addresses the priority area of – further intervention… to improve the wellbeing of children affected by domestic violence.
