Welcome to the Australian Institute for Relationship Studies (AIRS), the professional training division of Relationships Australia NSW.

Relationships Australia NSW is a higher education institute and a Registered Training Organisation under the Australian National Training Authority. We also offer courses and programs that are accredited with the NSW Higher Education Board.

AIRS is advised by an Academic Board which consists of academic and industry partners. The Academic Board ensures that AIRS courses and programs are of the highest quality, meeting community and professional standards for clinical practice.

New Courses

AIRS is offering the following new courses in 2008 and 2009:

1. Vocational Graduate Diploma in Family Dispute Resolution - new course in 2009. This course will meet the accreditation requirement for all Family Dispute Resolution Practitioners under the Family Law Act (1975) from July 2009.
2. Supervision Training - these 4 workshops will provide the fundamentals for participants to enhance current practice or work towards promotional possibilities.  View the Course Flyer (pdf).

Two new courses are also being offered in 2008 as part of our Family Dispute Resolution Program:

3. Family Dispute Resolution - the course will provide the necessary skills and knowledge to undertake Family Dispute Resolution within the Interim Accreditation Rules of the Family Law Act, and
4. Family Law for Non-Lawyers - this course will provide a foundation in family law and the changes to the Family Law Act and so is ideal for non-lawyers.
